Fourth graders not only learn about Lord Krishna but also explore My Twenty-Four Teachers from the AvadhĆ«ta GitÄ. As Krishnaâs earthly mission nears its end, he shares wisdom with his devotee Uddhava, recounting a dialogue between King Yadu and the wandering saint DattÄtreya. DattÄtreya reveals the life lessons he gained from twenty-four teachers he encountered on his journey. Here are some excerpts from children on their favorite teacher and why.

Arrow Maker: The Arrow maker teaches me to concentrate on what I am doing. It is important to me because if I do not concentrate it is harder to finish my work.
Space/Sky: Space teaches us that the lord is omnipresent and is wherever you go and always with us to help us. I realized that god is in everyone so I try to be nice to everybody.
Balaji
Earth: The Earth teaches me to be patient and forgive. Iâve been very patient doing my homework and forgive my brother coming into my room.
Air: Air teaches me not to get attached. I donât get attached to things like bag, dress, watch etc.

Python: The Python teaches us to be content with what we have. When the python spots food, it isnât picky on what it gets. It just takes it and eats it. Whenever my mom makes food, I try to be like the Python and eat it contently.
Pingala Dancer: The Pingala dancer teaches us not to have any expectations. When we go out, I donât have expectations on where we will go.
Vaishnavi
Moon: The Moon teaches us that even though things may come, for good or bad, âthis too will passâ. This means that nothing survives forever. Everything comes and goes at some point.
Fire: Fire teaches us that you have to destroy all bad things in you and not get contaminated by them. This tells us to destroy the bad things, just like fire.
Shreyovi
Honey Gatherer: Honey gatherer teaches us to not be selfish and hoard or be mean. It teaches us to be pure and not to have greed. I think this is important to learn because sometimes, I have been selfish but people have forgiven me.
