Foreword – Pujya Swami Swaroopananda

Prologue

Hari Om!

A very Happy Father’s Day to all dads!

It brings me great joy to join you in celebrating the 11th anniversary of Chinmaya Haridwar and the release of the 2025 edition of Hari Patrika.

This year marks a truly momentous milestone—the 75th anniversary of the Chinmaya Movement, which began with Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s first Jnana Yajna in Pune in 1951. From that single spark, a spiritual renaissance was born. Gurudev went on to conduct over 500 Jnana Yajnas across India and around the world, transforming hearts, uplifting minds, and awakening countless souls—including our own.

As we mark this Platinum Jubilee, let us remember that the greatest tribute we can offer our beloved Gurudev is to come together as one Chinmaya family—united in the spirit of Yajna: of selfless service, sincere study, and inner transformation. Let this celebration not remain a series of events, but blossom as a living expression of the inspiration Gurudev ignited within each of us.

I am pleased to know that your commemorative journey has begun with a collective viewing of On a Quest, Gurudev’s powerful biopic. May this inspiration continue to guide your efforts, reaching the maximum number of people and bringing the maximum happiness—just as Gurudev envisioned.

May this special year be filled with purpose, joy, and deep reflection on the timeless ideals Gurudev lived and taught. May the Chinmaya Movement shine ever brighter across the world.

I look forward to being with you in August during my three-day Yajna, where I will also speak more about the Chinmaya Mission’s Amrit Mahotsav.

With Prem and Om,

Swami Swaroopananda
