Thanksgiving traditions vary widely among families, reflecting the diversity of our nation. Chinmaya Mission Portland warmly invites you to celebrate Thanksgiving with us and enjoy our beloved Mr. Chocolate Turkey, a favorite treat for the children!

No matter what your family’s unique tradition may be, the essence of Thanksgiving remains the same—a time to express gratitude for the blessings that enrich our lives.

In today’s fast-paced world, as we seek to reconnect with our cherished values, we find solace in our roots within the Chinmaya Mission. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Pujya Swami Swaroopananda, the Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, whose guidance shapes our collective activities and events, ensuring their lasting impact on future generations.     Chinmaya Swaranjali Choir sign up by 09/15/2024

    **Language classes, Vedic chanting, Swaranjali (Chinmaya Choir) and volunteering programs are all open only to our current annual sponsors.

    Chinmaya Swaranjali Portland – the musical wing of CMP is open to singers and musicians, of *all ages*. No prior experience is needed.

    Sign-up closes on Sept 14, 2024, Sunday morning. When registering, please mention any musical instruments you play, if applicable.

    This year, we plan to meet after Bala Vihar classes. Re-registration is required even if you were part of Swaranjali last year. Attendance in Bala Vihar is mandatory for students to participate in Swaranjali.

    Parent volunteers played a huge part in the success of Swaranjali in the last few years. If you would like to sign up to help with Swaranjali in any way; help with coordination, organization, acoustics, etc, please do mention that in the sign-up options.

      The Pacific Phoenixes Career Restart Program by Women in Big Data is tailored to empower women aiming to re-enter the workforce following a career break or transition into the technology industry.

        In consideration of my family’s participation in the above program, I hereby, for myself and my family, waive and release Chinmaya Mission and its officers, trustees, volunteers, and participants, and all other persons participating in the program, or involved in planning or execution of the program, from all liability or claims arising from any injury to myself, my family or my property. This release shall include, without limitation, all claims for negligence, and shall exclude only claims for willful injury, which exclusion for willful shall extend only to the person committing willful injury and not to any other person. I assert that my family’s participation in Chinmaya Mission activities is voluntary and that I knowingly assume all risks associated, whether such risks are known or unknown to me at this time. I hereby give permission for my family to have their picture/video taken while participating in activities associated with Chinmaya Mission. Said pictures/videos become the sole property of Chinmaya Mission and will be used only for recruiting/information-sharing purposes.
