What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Media & Communication
Chinmaya Haridwar has permission to use photographs/videos taken at our programs on its digital media or in other official printed publications.
We send out periodic emails regarding our events, which includes a clear and conspicuous explanation of how the recipient can opt-out of getting an email from us in the future. In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, each email contains the postal address of our center, and the subject line is relevant to the email.Â
Contact forms
We store user input data sent through the contact forms on this website, along with meta-information about the submissions, including the time stamp, the origin IP address, and the user agent (browser). Also, third-party services may collect information about website visitors.
Where does the information go?
We use the Contact Form 7 plugin to manage contact form submissions. The information is sent as email messages that only a select few are allowed to access. The information is also stored in the database on our hosting server for backup and later reference purposes.
How long do you keep the information?
We don’t set a particular time limit on storing information because we need it for future reference. If you want your information to be removed from our database, please contact us. We will remove it anytime there are concerns about your privacy.
Do you share the information with other parties?
No. We only use WordPress plugins and themes that are hosted by WordPress.org. WordPress.org’s guidelines clearly prohibit tracking users without their explicit informed consent.

We don’t share your personal information with third parties. We currently use Google Analytics for traffic analysis, SEO optimization.Â
How long we retain your data
If you signup for our events, the information, and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
Additional information
Communication etiquette is followed as per Chinmaya Mission Portland’s digital guidelines and your personal information is not exposed to anyone else other than our administrators. We do not sell any information to any third parties and we do not send any solicitation from any third party.
Participants voluntarily agree to assume all risks, consequences, and liability related to their family’s participation activities at Chinmaya Mission Portland.
Chinmaya Mission Portland encourages safety practices for children, both on and off Mission grounds.
