Chinmaya Mission Swamins and Brahmacharins undergo years of dedicated study and training in Vedanta and the scriptures before serving as teachers. Their schedules are often committed to communities around the world, so bringing them to Portland is a special opportunity that requires considerable planning.

A Yajna is much more than a series of talks—it is a chance to listen, reflect, ask questions, and study the scriptures together in the presence of a trained teacher.

When a Swami or Brahmacharin visits Chinmaya Mission Portland, let’s make the most of this opportunity by attending the Yajna, bringing our families, and participating wholeheartedly. Our presence not only enriches our own learning but also strengthens our local community and helps ensure that such opportunities continue to come to Portland.
