Hari OM!

Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with energy and enthusiasm in different parts of India. Devotees of Lord Ganesha make the idols of Ganesha and place it in their homes or public places on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi (the first day). They worship the Ganesha daily with all the rituals, and then the idols are later taken with a procession and immersed in a water body, on Anant Chaturdashi.

The highlight of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations is the immersion of the Ganesha idols in water bodies, known as Ganesh Visarjan. This symbolic act represents the cycle of creation and dissolution in Hindu philosophy.

Creating an environmentally friendly celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi is a responsible and meaningful way to observe this auspicious festival while minimizing its impact on the environment. Our talented Bala Vihar student, Pranav will teach us how to build a Ganesha and our Haridwar Puja team will teach us how to do daily prayers.

Please upload the annual sponsorship donation receipt, we will send you the details by email.

During the processions, proceeding with the immersion, devotees chant:

गणपती बाप्पा मोरया पुढच्या वर्षी लवकर या
गणपती बाप्पा मोरया मंगलमुर्ती मोरया
“Ganpati bappa morya, Pudhchya warshi lavkar ya
Ganpati baapa morya, Mangalmurti morya!”
Meaning:
Ganesha is the Lord of all (Ganpati) and a father (Bappa),
The one who leads from the front (Morya)
return soon (Lavkar) next (Pudhcha) year (Warshi)
Ganpati whose form (Murti) is the bestower of serenity
and one who makes things ‘auspicious’ or ‘pure’ (Mangal)
